Puma Prowling

Pumas are the most widespread cats of the Americas but not easy to see across most of their range. The pumas of Torres del Paine in Chilean Patagonia are active by day in open countryside; even so I was fortunate to spot this one close to a road. I spent an hour watching the puma, mostly at rest, waiting for it to get up and walk away enabling this shot.
