Mount Fitz Roy

Mount Fitz Roy

Mount Fitz Roy is the most impressive peak in Los Glaciares National Park, Argentinean Patagonia. At an elevation of 3,405m, its impressively jagged peak was named in 1877 in honour of Robert Fitzroy, captain of HMS Beagle which charted the Patagonian coast between 1831 and 1835. I hiked to a viewpoint before sunrise to get gorgeous pink tones reflected from the sky onto the granite mountain.
