Dying Guardian, Savernake Forest

Dying Guardian, a curious ancient oak with a slender living trunk within the shell of a dead one. At 1pm in the afternoon, the Sun is perfectly placed to make a starburst on the rim of the tree. Five frames bracketed at two stop intervals blended in Lightroom to capture the full dynamic range.
