Conwy Castle After Sunset

On a 1-to-1 photography workshop in Eryri (Snowdonia), my client and I were treated to one of the most spectacular sunsets I have ever seen. The colour lasted for an hour, perfectly reflected in still waters of the estuary as the tide gently ebbed. What made it more remarkable is that two hours earlier and less than 20 miles away, we had almost been blown off our feet under a heavily clouded sky. Around 50 minutes after the sun had dropped below the horizon, residual light from the sky was in balance with the floodlighting of the castle (cross-over lighting) to make this image.
